I took a giant set of photos for my client, Canopy Home Decor, this weekend and as I was sifting through the lot, I came across one that really caught my eye.
When I shoot merchandise photos, I shoot with a very wide angle lens that doesn’t have a very wide/high aperture. This allows me to frame just about any shot I want in the tight confines the store and it’s shelving, but as a result wasn’t able to get amazing depth of field in both the foreground and background.
I still really like the shot though, and I may go back and buy myself that bowl next weekend.
