This is my boss Patrick, affectionately known as Paddy Cakes. He is younger than me. Have you ever had a boss who was younger than you? It’s a bit humbling in some ways, in others it isn’t all that big a deal if the boss is up to being the boss.

Patrick is a shy guy, he hates having his picture taken and he’d sure as hell hate seeing his picture on this website. Fear not Patrick, no one reads this website.

I like Patrick a lot for a number of reasons- his sarcasm, frankness, comradely, endless witticisms, but never narcissism.

The first time I met Patrick was at a formal holiday party for work. He showed up wearing a bright yellow, GA Tech polo shirt. I knew I liked the guy from the first time I laid eyes on him.
