This past week I found myself in Knoxville, TN for work. Knoxville reminds me of a lot of a Midwest city like Louisville, Indianapolis or Cincinnati. Nothing too memorable on the surface, but definitely not short of charm if you decide to go even a little bit below the surface.
While most of what I experienced of Knoxville was your typical fare of hipster bars and boutique shops, I did happen across one gem I didn’t expect to find in a town in Eastern Tennessee.
I was taking a stroll around the Market Square when I turned a corner and noticed a side alleyway with tons of amazing graffiti, or perhaps a more appropriate term would be urban art. I did some quick googling and found out the alley is called Armstrong/Strong Alley, and you can find tons more photos of the great art on display here.
I’m sort of bummed I didn’t have my DSLR on hand, or I’d have photographed the entire alleyway!
These photos were shot with my handy Moto X!
